HOMELESS PEOPLE IN BONANZA NEIGHBORHOOD
Welcome to This is Colombia News
- Pastureland in Bonanza Neighborhood

¿HOMELESS PEOPLE? ¿WHERE?
It’s easy to
judge human beings for any kind of imperfection, fault or mistakes, but in this
case we’re going to talk about a particular kind of people who are judged simply
because they exist… The homeless people. Their appearance, smell, habits, but
mostly their behavior makes that the rest of the people get uncomfortable with
their presence and everything gets worse when they decide to act badly as when
they rob someone or someone’s house, to get naked in front of everyone or when
they decide surprisingly to defecate on any part of the street. This might not
happen in United Sates, Italy or any first world country, but it happens in
Colombia, specifically in Bonanza neighborhood.
Bonanza’s
neighbors have reported several times to the police that homeless people use to
invade the neighborhood, more often in a wide pastureland that is located next
to the San Silvestre Church. They have reported this several times because once
the police throw out the homeless, the next days they’ll come back again, so it
has become an exhausting matter considering that that pastureland’s turned into
an untidy, dirty, smelly and insecure place by these homeless people.
There are many neighbors’
testimonies which declare how they’ve been intimidated, harassed and even
robbed by them. Moreover, they just enter to the blocks of the neighborhood and
throw bottles, leftovers, clothes that they don’t use anymore and other kinds
of trash turning the street into a complete mess. This is getting the neighbors
really mad but unfortunately there’s no other way to solve this problematic
situation that’s happening here since people have memory.
